New playful artworks installed in Bokarina Beach Park
Sunshine Coast's newest public art is sure to bring smiles to the faces of adults and kids alike.
When visiting the Bokarina Beach coastal park, you may discover Crabs and Snakes emerging within the park and play area. They invite interaction and provide a visual surprise and delight within the green spaces and architectural forms of the park.
The works were developed and constructed by Sunshine Coast sculptor and architect Cam Crossley, who was inspired by the animals that inhabit our coastal areas, from the sand and sea to the wallum and coastal urban areas.
Cam Crossley creates works in bronze, steel and a variety of other metals and materials and he draws much of the inspiration for his work from the coast’s beaches, people and wildlife.
