Rockpool II (Yaroomba) belongs to a series of works titled Allisions, which co-opts a nautical term as a metaphor for moments of deep visual and emotional connection - when the moving body meets the landscape. This fusion blurs boundaries between human existence and the environment, suggesting a shift away from a human-centered perspective, emphasizing an interconnected, non-hierarchical relationship between the observer and their surroundings. In these solitary encounters, there is a sense of alignment - a sensory and emotional resonance that gives rise to fleeting moments of awareness, revealing the transience of existence.
