This work captures a fleeting moment—a silhouette of grace and strength inspired by a photo I took of a surfer walking along the path to Tea Tree Bay, Noosa National Park.
Reimagining the movie poster for The Endless Summer through a feminine lens, it conveys the essence of modern surf culture, refreshingly inclusive of all genders. The way she carried her board with such ease and effortlessness radiated confidence, reflecting her rightful place in this vibrant space.
My art transforms everyday moments into stories, exploring the connections between people, nature, and community while celebrating movement and identity.
Using aerosol and mixed media, I brought the scene to life on a reclaimed road sign sourced from Pomona, adding texture and history to the piece.
