The blue intensity of Van Gogh’s eyes charge this still life with something essential in the larger story of art making.

The presence of the reading chair and the harvested macadamia nuts provide the context of my Maleny studio - and my own stories of art making.

I enjoy bringing different worlds together, spanning distances of time and meaning, to create a new continuum of ideas.

I aim to make paintings that are direct and affirming of our lived experiences and, to this end, the gestural use of gouache medium is a favourite choice.
