Comparing and contrasting nature and the comfort of home, with history wrapped around you, comforted by its touch and warmth. Nature and nurture, inside and out, displaying images of the natural environment surrounding the home, bringing nature into the urban environment, and expressing its connecting through time. The growth and decay over many years shaping what is today, is kept frozen in time through natural photographical and physical prints on the quilt. Nature’s comfort is plastered on a bedroom staple, voluminously soft, connecting to the idea of sentimental gifts, childhood, and keepsakes. It will live still through time while the outside world transforms. The comfort within the home and home within nature, a moment in time and place concreted into reality, while the passing of time will continue to shape the world we view and feel.
