Local Contemporary Art Prize 2025 – Finalist

From Dreamtime stories featuring violent family feuds, a naming by an 18th century English ship captain, to contemporary urban myths alleging out of space visitations, the "Glass House Mountains" have long inspired vivid story making. 

I respect these narratives however it is the geology of the mountains, the potential within their mineralogy, that inspires the potter and painter in me.

Astringently condensing all these elements into a resolved painting/assemblage is my core objective, if not obsession.
