Not Reflected in My Super confronts society’s gender imbalances and the invisibility of mental and emotional labour, while challenging historical representations of the female nude. As a mother and wife this self-portrait personally reflects my experience of the female condition and my persistent mental load—the words patterning the garment, like an accumulation of tasks, weighing down my shoulders.

Through its assertion, Not Reflected in My Super highlights and questions these imbalances of labour and objectification, adding visibility to the unspoken burdens and the systemic structures that uphold them.
